40kms East of Carnarvon on the Gascoyne River was a sparkling clear pool called Rockey Pools. The dry red dirt, the temps in the 30 degrees plus made the tree swing an unavoidable stop. After a swim, we hiked up the river until the sun set. Lots of sinky sand tripped us up as we crossed. Noodle was almost lost.
