HOLY COW!

Scene of the crime! We woke up to a beautiful early morning sunrise several hundred Kms out of Exmouth en route to Karijini NP. The usual nothingness of the vacant outback travel sighted miles of red, dead and dry. It was all uneventful until we came across the cow/car on the side of the road. After having a look inside we determined that the person(s) were gone. Cowy wasn't too old so we guessed it all must have happened in the night. The car must have hit the cow going full speed and spun 180 degrees then slid off the road. It was when the cow rolled off the hood. Smashed windows hinted to us that the driver might have been injured.
The sight was a grim reminder regarding driving at night in the Outback. Livestock is free ranged out here. Also...I have a new appreciation for the bull bar on our Landcruiser.
