Kings Canyon (NT)

A highly recommended stop in the NT outback is the remote National Park of Kings Canyon. Four hundred kilometre of uneventful driving in and past vast flatness. We passed no more then ten cars. Arriving late in the afternoon only allowed time to take a  short hike up the gorge. Lovely, but the real draw card to this park is the hair raising rim walk which we planned for early the next morning.
First thing in the morning J had a raging fever along with all the undesirables that accompany the common flu. Apparently life is what happens when you have plans for something else. We packed up and drove like mad north never to see the rim walk of the grand Kings canyon. All health issues sorted several days later but these are the only few moments at Kings Canyon NP.
