Charming Cooktown is understandably a yachter's paradise. With the Endeavour River mouth emptying into the Coral sea as the towns waterfront setting ...it is hard to NOT fall in love. The back drop is endless tropical forests with a warm, gentle breeze to top it all off. You can fish off the wharf or take a drive to a deserted beach. The main street is dotted with quaint shops and eateries. There is also a lovely look out from the top of the hill. It is the last bit of civilization before the Bloomfield Track to the Daintree Rain forest.
