Being the 4 WD demons that we became on this trip...we opted for the Bloomfield Track through the Daintree Forest. The lands here are evidently aboriginal lands ( hence the burnt out houses and cars dotting the side roads). Primitive signage and steep narrow paths characterize this route. However this was a simple drive in comparison to the Old Telegraph Track. Dusty but smooth. The prize was the beautiful palm fringed white beach sparsely dotted with mangroves. We arrived at low tide which allowed Noodle some hunting time in the small tide pools. The catch was a puffer fish which we pried from her jaws before it was too late (for the both of them).
