An hours drive out of Sydney heading west passes some quaint small country towns and finally arrives at The Blue Mountains. The name says it all. Shrouded in a blue haze the mountains were some of the most spectacular senery since the Kimberly region of WA. The blue haze is caused by the heating of the oils found in the blue gum leaves native to the area. It makes a day of all-star spectacular photos. Every picture I took on this day was amazing. Credit to the hue but also to the vast canyons and endless views. The Blue Mountains was an unexpected surprise and well worth a visit. Only regret is that we didn't spend enough time hiking though this area.
